Dr. Mohamed is the founder of MJLO office in Muscat in 2005 which is still providing legal services to its clients since then, and is keeping pace with their evolving needs. Dr. Janashal holds PhD in arbitration law from the International Islamic University, Malaysia, his thesis was about “the implementation of foreign arbitration rules in disputes related to Islamic banking and finance”. Before his PhD, Dr. Mohamed obtained his Master degree in International Commercial Law from Alexandria, Egypt, and he earned his LLB from Mohamed-I University, Oujda, Morocco.

 

As an approved registered lawyer before the Supreme Court in the Sultanate of Oman, Dr. Mohamed has represented many clients, individuals, companies and governmental & non-governmental sides before all levels and types of courts.

 

For more than 25 years, Dr. Mohamed gained a wide experience in matters of legal, commercial, litigation, arbitration, corporate, governance, Banking & Islamic banking, merger, capital markets, as well as issues relating to civil transactions, contracts and commercial agreements.

Muhammad earned his LL.M in Corporate Law from of Faculty of Shariah and Law, International Islamic University, Islamabad. His core areas of practice are corporate, commercial, transactional, arbitration, contracts and employment matters.

Muhammad was part of the legal team representing the largest public sector entity in Pakistan in ICC arbitration held in Singapore under the auspices of International Court of Arbitration. Later, Muhammad moved to Dubai as Legal Counsel he developed his practice focused on commercial, arbitration, contracts and employment. He represented several clients in arbitration claims arising out of real estate and construction related disputes under the Dubai International Arbitration Center. He has assisted his clients on arbitration matters in DIFC and ADCCAC. He regularly advises his clients on a range of diverse legal matters within the scope of his dedicated practice.

As part of his career, Muhammad has instructed as Lecturer Law at University of Dubai and the prestigious Faculty of Shariah and Law, International Islamic University, Islamabad. During his time in Dubai, he has lectured on HR and legal environment in UAE and developed course module on Legal Aspect of HR & Employment Law for the Center for Executive Development, University of Dubai. He has also published various research articles in internationally recognized law journals.

His time in Singapore, Dubai, Pakistan and now in Oman helps him identify and understand his clients’ specific needs and the best commercial interest.

Counsellor Elemary has solid experience of work related to both Public & Private International Law represented mostly in International Commercial Arbitration, International Trade Law and laws of Arab states including Egypt, Oman & Qatar. He has studied law in three different continents- namely in Egypt, the United States and Germany. He was sponsored as a Scholar by the United States Agency for International Development (1997-98) and the Friedrich-Naumann-Foundation/the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs (1998-2003).

In recognition of his considerable research and endeavours on the WTO Law in general and the WTO Dispute Settlement System in particular, he was generously sponsored by the WTO Secretariat to attend the WTO Annual Public Symposium-Geneva on “Challenges Ahead on the Road to Cancun” through the period from 16-18 June 2003. In 1998, he was Counsel for the Arab Republic of Egypt at the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes in Washington DC in the arbitration case of Wena versus Egypt: Jurisdiction & Admissibility Phase). 

Having acted as a Counsellor of the CRCICA & an In-House Counsel inter alia for Trowers & Hamlins, Salam International and Giza Systems, he has intermittingly developed a considerable knowledge of the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt, the Sultanate of Oman & the State of Qatar, and has lectured on international commercial arbitration and the legal framework of the World Trade Organization (the “WTO”), the WTO Dispute Settlement System and the administration of justice in Egypt (a program funded by the USAID since 1997). In addition, jointly with Dr M.I.M. Abou El Enein, Back then the Director of Cairo Regional Centre for International Commercial Arbitration (CRCICA), he has produced a set of translations into English and Arabic of the well-established principles of arbitral awards concluded under the auspices of the CRCICA and according to its rules of arbitration.

Throughout his long and diverse career Mr. Elemary provided advice on BOT/Concession Agreements, Procurement Law and on legal issues relating to the International Commercial Arbitration, compliance, International Contracts and claims emanating from these and the World Trade Organization (WTO) Agreements and WTO Dispute Settlement System. He also has represented local and multi-national clients on a variety of legal issues such as construction contracts, agencies, insurance, shipping, corporate and other commercial disputes. He was also heavily involved as a team member in amending the Egyptian Arbitration Law No. 27/94 and drafting the Egyptian Procurement Law No. 89/1998. Mr. Elemary is fluent in Arabic, English and German and have a working knowledge of French & Spanish.

Before joining MJLO in Muscat, Huzaifah served at Malaysian Industrial Development Finance Berhad (MIDF) under the Group Secretarial & Legal Division as Shariah and Legal Officer for ten (10) years where he was responsible for MIDF Group Legal matters as well as Shariah, Islamic Finance and Secretarial task. He is a member of Association of Shariah Adviser in Islamic Finance Malaysia (ASAS).

Huzaifah was part of the coordinators for the Implementation of the BNM Shariah Governance Framework for Islamic Financial Institutions at MIDF Group and was also involved in various Shariah standards set-ups, product development projects and Islamic Securities / Sukuk issuance for the Group.

Huzaifah has experience and expertise in Islamic fund management services, development of Islamic financial products, and Shariah auditing.

Sara Abdul Aziz graduated in law from the University of Cairo, Egypt in 1989. As part of her professional career, she has practiced as Public Prosecutor in Sudan. She specialists in corporate, commercial, civil, employment, litigation and arbitration matters. She is also a certified expert in arbitration from Sudan.

As part of her professional career, she has practiced law as a lawyer before all kinds and levels of courts in Sudan where she also acted as a Public Prosecutor at the Sudanese Ministry of Justice. She represented a wide range of clients (individuals, companies and governmental) in commercial and civil cases, litigation in general and arbitration matters. She is also a certified expert in arbitration at the Omani courts and at Khartoum Arbitration Centre.

He graduated from the College of Commerce from Mansoura University in Egypt and did his Post Graduation in Certified Management Accountancy at the American University in Cairo, Egypt.

Nabil is fluent in English and Arabic, and often acts as the first point of contact between clients and the practice managers from one side, and between the office and various government departments in Oman from the other.
