Mohamed Janashal (Ph.D.) - Consultant in Law & Governance

Overview
A certified lawyer and arbitrator with over 30 years of experience, Mohamed Janashal established Mohamed Janashal Law Office” in 2005. With a distinguished professional track record, Mohamed Janashal is one of the founders of the Oman Lawyers Association and a member of several significant committees, including the Governance and Institutional Performance Committee in the Oman Vision 2040. He also serves as the Head of the Legislation, Judiciary, and Oversight Priority, one of the national priorities in Oman Vision 2040. Mohamed Janashal actively participated in preparing a volume aimed at aligning legislation as part of the preparatory work for the Oman Vision 2040 document.

Mohamed Janashal possesses extensive legal expertise in the regulations governing companies, foreign investment, and governance. He has provided his diverse legal services to many public and private sector institutions, offering various legal consultations and representation before judicial and arbitration bodies in different types of cases. Ahmed Al Jahfali– Senior Lawyer

Overview
Ahmed Al Jahfali is a Senior Lawyer with over 24 years of expertise in labor law and labor dispute resolution. Before joining Janashal Law office, he held key positions at the Ministry of Labour in Oman, including Labor Disputes Researcher and Head of the Legal Review and Certification Department in the Labor Dispute Resolution Division. His experience includes mediating labor disputes amicably, drafting and reviewing legal memoranda and labor dispute reports, and reviewing employment regulations and sanctions policies for private sector companies and entities and ensure compliance with labor laws. A licensed lawyer before the Supreme Court of Oman since 2009, Al Jahfali has a distinguished record of managing complex labor cases and providing legal counsel to both public and private entities.

Hamid Al-Mashikhi - Senior Lawyer

Overview
A Senior Lawyer with extensive legal and administrative experience spanning over 28 years in litigation as a certified civil/commercial lawyer before the Supreme Court in the Sultanate of Oman. He has also held several prestigious positions within the Royal Oman Police, including Director of the General Customs Directorate’s Office, Director of Dhofar Customs, and Director of Customs Affairs, (overseeing all customs outlets in the Sultanate from 2017 to 2018). Through these roles, he has gained extensive legal and administrative expertise, especially in the practical application of customs laws and procedures. Hamed has made valuable contributions on numerous occasions through his membership in various committees, notably participating in drafting the executive regulations for the Unified Customs Law of the Gulf Cooperation Council within the Sultanate.

Huzaifah Mohammed Farid- Senior Legal Counsel

Overview
Before joining Janashal in Muscat, Huzaifah worked as an employee in the Secretarial for Sharia and Legal Affairs at the Malaysian Industrial Development Finance (MIDF) for ten years. He was responsible for the legal affairs of the MIDF group, in addition to tasks related to Sharia aspects and Islamic financing, due to his precision in ensuring financial transactions comply with Sharia regulations. He is a member of the Association of Shariah Advisors in Islamic Finance – Malaysia (ASAS). Mr. Huzaifah was part of the coordination group for the implementation of the Shariah framework for Islamic financial institutions in the MIDF Group, and was also involved in several Shariah standards set-ups, product development projects and the issuance of Islamic securities/Sukuk for the group. He possesses a unique ability to provide complete legal solutions that consider both the legal and Sharia aspects of financial projects.
